The Palm Branches

Published by under Spiritual

Last night I had a wonderful, anticipatory dream. I felt that I was in a Catholic Church as I was unsure whether to stand or kneel, and it is a place where they “do” the kinds of things that this dream presented. Mother Teresa was the central figure, and she was hauling in HUGE palm branches (perhaps twenty-five feet long). They appeared more like Curly Willow, but I KNEW that they were palms. The whole focus was on preparation for Jesus’s entry into Jerusalem for His passion, death and resurrection.

Mother Teresa was still very petite but dressed in a plain skirt and blouse with short hair of a gray-brown color. These palms were so much larger than she was, and yet it seemed important that she carry them (someone from beyond the veil)! This could have many meanings, and if any of you have further insight into the fact that someone from beyond the veil needed to PREPARE US for the final leg of our journey, please leave a reply and let us know.

I woke up and immediately went to tend my own palm tree which I purchased at Wal Mart for little money the Saturday prior to Palm Sunday. I was unaware that it was that day until I saw all of those palm plants. As I watered and pruned my palm, the excitement and reverence that I felt following this profound dream, lingered with me, and that plant has become very special and prophetic for me.

It is my joyful hope that this was prophetically indicative of the nearness of the end to the journey for some of us. Let us not become dismayed if we are suffering at this time, as we know what follows the passion and the cross. In the meantime, let us pray that we shall begin walking exactly as Jesus walked during His earthly ministry, as I know this step must be walked out prior to that final crucifixion and RESURRECTION. Let us pray for the boldness, the power, the LOVE and tenderness needed. All we need to do is allow Jesus to move through us at all times…as we shop, work, play. Let us keep our awareness on His indwelling Presence and trust that it is no longer our lives but HIS within us.

“The next day a vast crowd of those who had come to the Passover Feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him. And as they went, they kept shouting, Hosanna! Blessed is He and praise to Him Who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel.”

John 12: 12, 13

“I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me: and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”

Galatians 2:20

My crucified Lord appears
Within our sacred bower
Thorns piercing flesh He says to me
This is the Final Hour.

There’s not much time, My Darling
To seal the bond with Me
Not many days ‘fore going forth
Into all Eternity

Spend time within our bower
Commune with Me in bliss
For soon come I to seize thee
Bestow the Final Kiss…

My Bride must be prepared
Ready, waiting, pure,
One with Me in white love holy
S’all things she can endure

Then come apart, My Darling
Dare to touch each thorn
That pierced My skull and shed My blood
So with purity My Love’s adorned.

God bless each of you,
